We bought the Sleeping Duck because of the ability to have split sides. We got the Medium because my husband likes a softer mattress and I like a firmer mattress. The medium was too soft for me and SD provided a firm insert to rectify for my comfort. It was an easy process.

Easy purchase, great mattress, awesome value. Highly recommended.

Nice firm mattress

I was hesitant to buy a mattress online, but the fact that you could switch out your pads with sleeping duck to make sure you were comfortable really appealed to me. Once I got the mattress a few things became apparent. The first is that it's WICKED heavy. I'm a fairly strong guy so I'm ok with it, but if you're a smaller or older person you're going to need help with it. The second thing is that I personally found it hot. Putting another blanket on top of the bed cooled it down for me, and now I'm comfortable, but before that I found it too hot. I also found it pretty smelly for the first few days, but I washed every cover I could take off and wash, and left the window open and the fan on in the bedroom for a few days and it aired out nicely. There's no smell at all now. Throughout the entire experience, including ordering two different sets of mattress pads, and some questions about how to unzip one of the covers, the staff have been REALLY, REALLY helpful. They text, check in on you, offer advice, and send out as many free pads as you want until you're comfortable. Like most, I've had customer service experiences that were really awful, but I'm always happy to be able to say "they were really great!" and the Sleeping Duck folks WERE really great. I'm a few months in with my mattress and I'm completely happy with it. This is who I'll buy my mattresses from in the future.

Still experiencing aches although slightly less

I ordered a medium mattress to begin with and had absolutely no trouble to change this to soft. This change alleviated the hip and backaches I was having. Dealing with Sleeping Duck was easy and they were always very helpful. Highly recommend them to anybody.

I cannot recommend Sleeping Duck highly enough - dealing with SD from start to finish has been easy and efficient, and they could not be more helpful. After a while, we decided we needed a little softer, so an insert was delivered to replace the first one. Now its perfect. Very happy with our choice of mattress!

Sleeping much better and not waking with aches and pains especially in the lower back and hips.
